Toy workshop

Our IPC topic this term is toys and games so we turned our classroom into a toy workshop!

We had a toy testing centre, a construction table, a design your own toy table and a board game trying area!

I think Amber class really enjoyed this activity, what do you think?

I know that my daughter enjoyed the day, and researching the toys and games me and her mum and grandparents enjoyed playing with when we were young for her homework, and it was good for the children to play and work together and she looking forward to attending the toy museum on Thursday.

I liked it when we went on the coach because it took a long time.

I liked it because we were playing spot the lorry and I spy on the coach with some of my friends and my Dad. It was fun.

The magnet people, the sand man and the rocking horse were the best in the museum.

    Why did you like it?

In year 2 I have enjoyed my literacy and numeracy and my phonics because it helps me learn new things.

On the 17th September I went to the museum of childhood and I got to have a go on the rocking horse and it was fun. I saw lots of Barbies and rockets and I got to do a workshop and I saw old toys from the past. I made a peg doll into a ballerina and it was my favourite toy.

I had fun looking at the dolls and rocking horses. I liked the Barbie dolls and looking at the old and new toys. When we were in the workshop we saw some of the old and new toys, some of them where a yow yow and a spinning top. I liked looking at the trolls upstairs.

Me and my Mum are reading the book ‘Matilda’ by Roald Dahl. We went to see ‘Matilda the Musical’ at the theatre. It was great. I had vanilla ice-cream in the interval, which was yummy.

I am glad that the terrible Miss Trunchbull doesn’t teach at Heavers Farm!.

Those fruit kebabs were so tasty. I wish this school could do things like this every day. I love this school.
