Last week, Amber class took a trip to St Albans the Martyr church in South Norwood as part of the R.E. topic ‘Christianity’
We have been looking at the celebration of Easter and the importance of the church in those celebrations. Take a look at some photo’s of our trip – they look like they are having a great time!

    christians easter

There is often a service on the Thursday before Easter. Some people carry a huge cross in a parade to celebrate Jesus’s death.

Christians celebrate the meaning of Christ on Easter Sunday, no chocolate is invovled in Christians Easter. Christains spend most of their time with their family on (easter) sunday.

Easter celebrates new life. It is a happy time and churches hold special celebration services.
