Beach trip

Year 2 had an amazing time at the beach yesterday! We played in the water (and got soaked) built sandcastles and ate yummy lollies! What a brilliant way to end the year!

Homework due 17/07

Literacy

As we are coming to the end of year two, we would like to know about your experience. What was your favourite thing about year 2? What was your favourite topic? What was your favourite school trip? What did you enjoy most about being in year 2? If you could change one thing about year 2 what would it be? If you could give a year 1 child a piece of advice for next year what would it be? What are you most looking forward to in year 3? You could present this as a written report, a video, a PowerPoint, a poster or a letter to your teacher!

Sports Day!

We had a brilliant sports day on Monday, with everybody showing great sportsmanship. They all cheered on each other as well as their houses. I hope the pictures show just how much fun they were having! Can you name the sports we took part in?

Mini strings concert!

Congratulations to our wonderful year 2 for their fantastic mini strings concert on Friday. You did brilliantly, even when the music failed! I am so proud of you and you’ve learnt so much in one year!

Well done!

In Science at the moment, we are learning about ‘Dinosaurs’. Choose a dinosaur (or more than one if you would like) from a time period of your choice and find out some interesting information about this dinosaur. You will need to find out what time period the dinosaur lived in, what the dinosaur ate, where in the world it lived, what it looked like, etc.

Testing Taste Buds!

This week Amber class were testing our taste buds! We wanted to see if we could identify things that were salty, sweet, bitter and sour… Take a look at our pictures and see if you can recognise what they are tasting!

Sports day!

On Monday 1st July, we will be holding our Sports Day (reserve day – 2nd July in case of rain) and we would love for you to join us. Parents and carers are welcome to join us from 1:30pm onwards on the field.
