On Thursday 20th, Amber and Topaz class went to the V&A museum of childhood and we loved it! Our IPC topic this term is looking at toys so we spent the day exploring old toys, playing with toys and making our own peg dolls! We took some great pictures, look at how much fun Amber class are having!

To amber class,
I loved looking at the old toys because they made me laugh and are so different from the toys I have to play with today. The old toys were made of wood with no bright colours and our toys today are made of plastic and are very colourful.

My nam is Shontae and I am going to be talking about my first few weeks in year 2! In year 2 so far we have learnt about old toys and new toys. We have also learnt about odd and even numbers, poems and story books. I have enjoyed the trip to the museum and bringing in one of my old toys every week. I also enjoyed pe.

Hi everyone, my name is Chantelle and I want to share with everyone the amazing time I had when we went to visit the toy museum. We could see different kinds of toys like barbies, teddies, clown dolls, houses, Olympic toys, baby toy with nappy, pictures of children playing, tea cups, plates and small kitchen. My favourite time in the museum was when my teacher told us to go and ride on the horses. I really really enjoyed it.

I am going to talk about amber class. I Iike my class because it is awesome and we already had a school trip. I like my teacher because she is very nice and likes us a lot and likes to help us in different situations. When I got back to school it was amazing. The class rooms, the new entrance and book cases.

The toy museum was fun. My favourite bits were playing with the yo-yo and the rocking horse. I also liked the big wind up robot. I liked making my superhero peg doll.

In year 2 I have learnt about counting in tens in numeracy. I have learnt about care bears when we went to the museum. I also went on the rocking horse, we took it in turns. In year 2 I enjoy doing Literacy. In year 2 I have noticed that the walls have changed.

The museum was fun. I liked making the peg dolls. I liked seeing the barbies, teddy bears and playing on the rocking horse. I also liked playing with all the old toys. In the workshop we also sorted toys into new and old.
